Wareham Development approached us to renovate a 4,800 SF existing tilt-up concrete building to convert it from a warehouse to lab and office use. They also requested an additional office space to be placed on the existing parking lot. The new 2,600 SF single story wood framed addition was constructed as a warm shell for the relocation of Wareham Berkeley management offices including a reception area, nine private offices, a conference room, and a breakroom.

The entry of the new addition incorporates aluminum storefront doors and a painted steel trellis that also serves as the main entry for the renovated existing building. The ceiling of the trellis consists of exposed wood slats that continue into the interior of the conference room and can be seen from the outside through the 10’ high conference room glazing. The language of both the glazing and trellis is carried through around the corner with steel and glass, spanning a majority of the north elevation.

The new addition will be LEED Certified.
