L Seven Interiors

L Seven is an entire city block of market rate housing in San Francisco’s SoMa district. This mixed-use project consists of seven buildings providing 410 units of rental apartments, ground floor retail/commercial space, art space and a public park. Kava Massih Architects was responsible for the interior design of 4,940 square feet of common spaces including the leasing office, clubhouse/lounge, mailroom, fitness center and all lobbies, corridors and elevators.

The interior design was inspired by the local culture and history of this lively San Francisco neighborhood. Large scale graphics and burst of color in unexpected places help to define the interior. The use of bright colors throughout the common spaces creates contrast with the building materials of natural wood, metal and concrete, exuding a modern vintage vibe. Placed throughout key common areas are colorful murals by San Francisco street photographer, Travis Jensen
