The restoration of an old freshwater pool included seismically reinforcing the existing stone wall and the addition of plate steel retaining wall which serves as a back drop to the tranquil pool setting. The pool deck was designed as an extension of the front yard connected through a landing and stair that breaks through the old stone wall.
