A 4,760-square-foot area in a former San Francisco warehouse, located along Mariposa Street in the Potrero Hill neighborhood, was converted into commercial retail space for Kim3, a furniture store. The new design incorporates the original bowed truss ceiling and skylights with a newly designed street elevation, including entry, window pattern, and planters. Kim3's San Francisco store location displays furnishings from Asia and the Pacific Rim. The design of the warehouse emphasizes the furnishings through its use of Asian colors and materials: The new windows include portions of red glass, the exterior planters house bamboo plants, and the interior contains built-in Chinese screens and various steps made from bamboo.
