UCB Dining Commons

Our firm guided the renovation of an 18,000 square foot heavily used dining hall, creating a more functional and inviting dining area for students, staff and visitors to the UC Berkeley campus. The design includes a new convenience store and a 24-hour student lounge. In addition, serving platforms were redesigned to integrate more effectively with indoor eating areas. We also added outdoor seating areas and extended architectural elements out to the street to provide additional interest to the building, attract more of the students passing by, and make the dining commons more of a destination location.
