Epicurious Garden
Location: Berkeley, CA
Completion: March 2006
We designed this unique take-out gourmet environment in a two-story building that used to house an electronics store. Its fresh approach to upscale dining includes eight food vendors, a tranquil garden, a culinary school on the second floor, and a roof top organic garden. Similar to a food court atmosphere, visitors can choose from a sushi or soup bar, a socca oven, fusion style rotisserie chicken, tea and caviar, or gourmet chocolate and gelato. Our design challenge was to fit all eight vendors into a small, yet inviting 6,000 square foot space on the ground floor.
